A water-free fat that contains no solids and can be used in animal feed or as a raw material for biofuels.
Porcine fat is produced mainly from pig bones and fat tissue via a melting and separation process, after which it undergoes further purification to form a product that contains no water or solids. This is a hygienic product of uniform quality that has a yellowish appearance and a mild fragrance. Its short processing time and high processing temperature ensure excellent quality.
Honkajoki Oy produces porcine fat at Findest Protein Oy’s plant, in Kaustinen, Finland. Porcine fat is suitable for use in animal feed or as a raw material for clean biofuels.
